Problem: Key executives inside a global investment firm were suspected of secretly creating a competing firm.  Using their authority as company executives, they terminated relationships with clients which their “shadow company” would then allegedly approach and service.

Solution: Entering the firm’s offices in the early morning hours, EvidentData surreptitiously obtained forensic image backups of the executives’ workstations.  Information found among the remnants left behind when webmail accounts are accessed clearly implicated a number of executives and shed light on the scheme’s particulars.  EvidentData provided detailed findings to the firm’s counsel for use in civil litigation against the wayward executives.
